... the beginnings of a painting at least! Using Atelier Interactive acrylics on a canvas 10" x 12"
I have only done an initial marking out of this so far, but thought I'd share the process. Started with a thin wash of Burnt Sienna over the canvas as a grounding. Some of you may recognise this painting, I did a large version of it some time ago, but I'm not copying it strictly, just using a similar layout with a pathway going into the painting. Made use of my 'desktop scribble pad' from the previous post and roughly sketched out my idea
scribbled this so quickly, as you will see I have even invented a new word blue'd!!!! (where did that come from?) - the thing is I know what I mean. By painting the distance in a slight blue shade, it will send it back into the distance.
here you can see similarities to my scribbled notes
close up you can see the texture and canvas weave
I have varied the tones here and there but I think you will be able to see the rough layout of the scene
That's it for now, my next step will be to work gradually down the canvas.
I'll see where this one goes as I work on it
and will keep you posted.
